Vrbnik

Vrbnik (German Vörbnick, it. Verbenico ) is a municipality in the east of the island of Krk, Croatia. The main town Vrbnik is situated on a rock that slopes steeply into the sea. More related to community settlements are Garica, Kampelje and Risika.

History

Even in prehistoric and Roman times the place was inhabited. In 1100 Vrbnik was first documented in 1388 and received a Worded in Glagolitic script statute. After that it was a stronghold of the princes of Krk, which have left many traces in stone Vrbnik. Beaches
