Vreten metro station

Vreten is an underground station of the Stockholm Metro. It is located in the district of the municipality of Solna Huvudsta. The station is served by the Blå linjen the Stockholm subway system. It belongs to the rather moderate frequented stations of the metro network. On a normal working day 2,900 commuters to climb here, which come mainly from the nearby businesses. For this reason, very few people use this station outside ordinary working hours. As the only station of the Tunnelbana Vreten was therefore not served all day. The trains run at specific times through without stopping. In August 2011, this exception but was canceled.

The station was put into operation on 19 August 1985, as the portion of the Blå linjen skogen between Västra and Rinkeby was opened. The platforms are located approximately 28 meters below the ground. The station is located between the stations Huvudsta and Sundbybergs centrum. Stockholm Central Station, there are about six kilometers.

During the year 2014, the station should have the name Solna beach. The surrounding commercial area had this name change already the beginning of the previous decade done since Vreten was seen as unappealing. The name Vreten since the 19th century in use as a farm at this place was called.
