Všešportový areál

The Všešportový areál ( German " Allsport-Areal/Komplex ", abbreviated as VSA) is a former sports complex on the Moldavská cesta in Košice (Slovakia) and was primarily used for football, but also basketball and handball games.

History

The sports complex was built in the 1970s and the football stadium was on 29 February 1976 in a league match between Košice and Žilina and officially on 10 March 1976 with a friendly match Czechoslovakia - opens USSR ( 2:2 ). The complex also emerged several football fields and small basketball, handball and wrestling stadiums.

Held six games of the Czechoslovak national team and four games of the Slovak national team place in the stadium. The last (large ) competitive match was played in June 1997. The games of the 1st FC Košice in the UEFA Champions League 1997/98 have already taken place in Štadión Lokomotíva.

Today, the stadium is available in a very decaying condition and not for sporting events. End of 2009, the official use plan of the site was changed. Thus, the area of the former stadium can be built.
