VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is the biggest contract research organization in Northern Europe. VTT is the Finnish acronym for " Valtion teknillinen tutkimuskeskus ", which translates as " National Technical Research Centre " means. VTT is a non-profit organization and part of the Finnish innovation system under the supervision of the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Generally

The VTT is involved in hundreds of international and European collaborative projects. Furthermore, there are numerous collaborations with other research institutions. The VTT published about 2000 publications and 150 Displaying inventions of the year. In the past 20 years, 40 365 publications were published and in 1100 about 2,000 patents and invention disclosures. VTT has about 5700 customers, of which 3400 Finnish companies (eg Nokia), 580 foreign companies and about 400 public institutions worldwide.
