Vukan of Rascia

Vukan (* around 1080, † 1114 ) reigned as the Serbian prince of about 1080 bis 1114.

Vukan ( German: Volf / Wolf) was established by Constantine Bodin, king of Dioklitien, for Župan of Raszien. After the death of Constantine Bodin, the focus of the early Serbian relocated inland after Raszien. Vukan became the most important princes Rasziens, waged wars against Byzantium and had decisive influence over the Kingdom Dioklitien. He was finally defeated in 1114 at Byzantium, he was succeeded as Župan of Raszien his son Uroš to 1118.
