Appreciation

Tactics

By Vyacheslav Ivanov in rowing 's tactics changed, rowed all world class rowers on the same tactical system. After the acceleration phase after the start we reached the uniform distance blow it by holding it to the finish, or at least tried to. Changes the order arose mostly only when eased towards the end of the race in which one or the other rowers forces.

Although Ivanov drove to the starting line also in shock, but he was the first rowers, which basically increased the stroke rate after 1500 meters and overtake his opponents on the last 500 meters tried giving him very often succeeded. This race tactics was subsequently taken over by many rowers, what the training completely changed, because the pure endurance training was now added the training of the increase in pace and top speed.

Historical classification

Even before it was Ivanov three rowers managed to win three Olympic gold medals. The American John B.
