Vydas Dolinskas

Vydas Dolinskas ( born May 8, 1970 in Jonava ) is a Lithuanian cultural historian and museum director.

Life

After high school from 1977 to 1988 at the third middle school in Baldininkai Dolinskas graduated from 1988 to 1993, the Diploma in History at the Vilniaus universitetas and 1992 studied at the Institute of Art History at the University of Salzburg. From 1993 to 1998 he completed his doctorate at the Faculty of History at the VU. From 1994 to 1996 he continued his education at the Free University of Berlin from 2006 to 2008 in the Wawel Castle, visited Secret State Archives Prussian Cultural Heritage.

Since 1996 he teaches at the Department of Medieval History at the VU. From 1993 to 1997 he was Oberlaborant in the Department of History of Grand Duchy of Lithuania at the Institute of Lithuanian history. From 1998 to 2008 he worked in the Lithuanian Art Museum as an employee and head of a department. Since 2009 he has been director of the National Museum " Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania ".
