Vyshkovo

Vyshkovo (Ukrainian Вишково; Вышково Russian, German rarely Wissk, Wischkowo, Slovak Výškovo Tisou, Hungarian Viscosity, Romanian Văşcova ) is an urban-type settlement in the Western Ukraine ( Transcarpathian Oblast, Rajon Chust ) about 20 miles southeast of downtown Chust.

The approximately 8,000 inhabitants village lies in the valley of the River Tisza near the border with Romania.

The settlement council community also places Modjorosch ( Модьорош ) Rakosch ( Ракош ) Shayan ( Шаян ) and Jabluniwka include ( Яблунівка ).

History

The town was first mentioned in writing in 1281 as visc.

1910, of the Kingdom of Hungary which is in the county Máramaros place 4,839 inhabitants, of which 3,871 Hungarians, Ruthenians, 871 and 126 were German. After the end of World War 1 he came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia (as part of the Carpathian Ukraine) and was ceded to the end of the second world war to the USSR. In 1976, the place obtained the status of an urban-type settlement.
