Vysílač Krašov

The transmitter Krašov ( Czech Vysílač Krašov or Plzeň- Krašov ) is a transmission tower for distribution of TV and FM radio programs on the Zámecký vrch ( Pernglauberg; 711 m) in the Tepler highlands between Krašov and Bezvěrov, in the Pilsen region in the Czech Republic.

History

The 347.5 meter high guyed transmission tower is the second tallest structure in the Czech Republic and was built as a replacement for the old 305 -meter-high radio mast from 1979 to 1981.

The old mast with 305 m height was built in 1960, had a triangular cross-section and 128, 206 and 285 meters above sea level was 60, guyed in three directions. In 285 meters there was a measuring chamber, above which in 291 meters height of the antenna carrier was followed by the television broadcast antennas. He crashed due to icing and some damage he received during the Prague Spring on 25 August 1968 in the year 1979.

On 28 July 2008, work began with the broadcasting of DVB -T.
