Wyja (English Vyya ) in the catchment area of the Northern Dvina

The Wyja (Russian Выя ) is a left tributary of the Pinega in the Arkhangelsk Oblast in northwestern Russia.

The Wyja has its source about 80 km northeast of Shenkursk. First flowing south, then bends to the east and north and finally turns to the east. After 181 km it reaches the Pinega. The catchment area of ​​2710 km ² comprises Wyja.

The most important tributaries of the Wyja are right Tschurowa and Pyschega and Tinewa from the left.
