W. Earl Brown

William Earl Brown ( born September 7, 1963 in Golden Pond, Kentucky ) is an American actor.

Life

William Earl Brown visited the Calloway County High School. He studied theater at Murray State University and then drama at DePaul University in Chicago, where he was also a classmate of John C. Reilly and Gillian Anderson. He established himself in the Chicago theater scene before moving to Los Angeles in order to be able to also play in the film. Although he was all his life addressed only by its second name Earl, he lay down upon registration of the Screen Actors Guild with the initial of his first given name William an artist name, not to be confused with the homophonic actor Earl Boen.

Brown debuted in 1991 in a small extras roles in the drama Backdraft - men who pass through the fire as an actor in feature film. Since then, he was in movies like There's Something About Mary and The Sessions - When words touch and sporadically in television series such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation to see the track and Justified. He had greater attention as Dan Dority in the Western series Deadwood. From 2004 to 2006 he played the henchman of Al Swearengen, played by Ian McShane, in 36 episodes.
