Waar wij steden doen verrijzen

Waar wij doen steden verrijzen ... ("Where we build cities ... ") is the anthem of the Dutch province of Flevoland. The text was written by Mak Zeiler, the melody composed Riemer van der Meulen. The focus of the text is the land reclamation by drainage of parts of the former Zuiderzee, during which originated the polder on which Flevoland was founded on 1 January 1986 as the twelfth and youngest province of the Netherlands.
