Wacey Rabbit

Wacey Rabbit ( born November 16, 1986 in Lethbridge, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since September 2011 with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League contract.

Career

Rabbit began his career as a youth player in the Alberta Midget Hockey League and then ran for five years for the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League on. In the 2004/05 season he scored 67 points scorer and was selected in the NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins, for whom he never played. In the season 2005/ 06 he took up the position of team captain for the Blades. A year later he made his debut with the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League, but could not prevail and was initially sent back to the WHL. It was only in the following two years he was able to establish itself in the AHL. In 2009 he moved to the Milwaukee Admirals, but could not connect to the services of Vorsaisonen.

In the summer of 2010 Rabbit completed a short try-out at the Croatian team KHL Medveščak Zagreb, which plays in the Austrian Hockey League, and was then taken for the 2010/11 season under contract. In June 2011, the Canadians received a contract at HK Jesenice, decided, however, about three months later for an engagement with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.
