Wadaiko Yamato

Wadaiko Yamato和 太 鼓 倭is a group of Japanese Taiko drummers and Wadaiko. It was founded in 1993 by Masa Ogawa in Nara prefecture, which is known as the land of Yamato, and is regarded as the cradle of Japanese culture. For the group name, the kanji character (pronounced Yamato )倭used, which means something like " the original, historic Japan " means in the written language and a nod to the roots, referred to by the group.
