History

Waffenbrunn belonged to the lords of Paur. The village was part of the Electorate of Bavaria and formed a closed Hofmark whose seat was Waffenbrunn. see also Postal Darstein, Postal Kolmberg, Postal Ödschloss

Incorporations

On 1 January 1972 Oberried and parts of the municipalities Habersdorf and Rhanwalting were incorporated. On July 1, 1972 Kollnberg followed.

Coat of arms
