Wageningen University and Research Centre

Wageningen University ( Dutch: Wageningen University ) is a university in the Netherlands, located in the city of Wageningen. She specializes in food and agricultural sciences, including a well-known beyond the country's borders, Department of Agricultural History. The university was founded in 1918 as Landbouwhogeschool Wageningen and renamed Landbouwuniversiteit Wageningen 1986.

Courses

The study at the University of Wageningen consists of two parts: the Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) with a duration of three years, followed by a Master of Science degree (MSc) with a duration of two years. The Wageningschen courses are not subject to numerus Fixus. Latest from the Master's program (fourth and fifth year, depending on the course earlier ) the instruction is completely in English.

Wageningen University and Research Centre

In 2000, the University and Research Centre Wageningen ( just Wageningen UR or " WUR " Wageningen Universiteit en Research Center or ) was established, which consists of a collaboration of Wageningen University, the Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences and various Dutch research institutes. The whole center now has over 8500 students and 7400 employees (including 185 professors ).
