Wagoner County is a county located in the state of Oklahoma in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Wagoner.

Geography

The County is located in the central northeastern Oklahoma and has an area of ​​1531 square kilometers, of which 73 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Rogers County, Mayes County, Cherokee County, Muskogee County and Tulsa County.

History

Wagoner County was formed in 1908 as an original county of Muskogee country. It was named, as well as the district capital, according to Bailey P. Waggoner, an attorney for the Missouri Pacific Railway Company.
