Waisenegg is a municipality with 1078 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Weiz in the Austrian province of Styria.

The municipality comprises the cadastral Piregg and Waisenegg.
History
The land register of the Bishop of Seckau mentioned in 1295 for the first time Wessenekke. In Zehentbuch of 1389 also Pirchek is then mentioned. In 1968 the Association, which was founded in 1850 and communities Waisenegg Piregg.
Policy
Mayor of the municipality is Franz Tiefengraber. The council is made up after the elections of 2010 were as follows: 12 ÖVP, SPÖ 2, 1 FPÖ
