Wakoopa

Wakoopa Social was a company founded on 2 May 2007 social utility that logged the application programs used by its users and thus determined the worldwide popularity of the software. This tracking feature is disabled on June 23, 2012.

Operation

To participate in the data collection, the user first had to register for free and download the so-called Wakoopa Tracker. This subsequently recorded on any running application programs and sent them to the user profile where statistics were collected on the frequency of use. Here, all applications were divided into several categories, the web browser Mozilla Firefox, for example, in the category browser. Each user could see as much time with what he application of his computer spends an average. Even the writing of reviews for each application was possible.
