Geographical Location

Waldau is located about 13 km southeast of Naumburg ( Saale) at Steinbach.

As a district of the former municipality of hair village was reported.

History

Waldau was first documented in 1256.

On 1 July 1950, the municipality hair village was incorporated into Waldau.

On 1 January 2010, until then independent municipality Waldau was incorporated together with the communities and basic heath Goldschau in the city Osterfeld.

Traffic

At the federal highway 180, the Naumburg (Saale ) proceeds according to Zeitz and the junction Osterfeld at the Federal Highway 9 northeast of the village there are about 4 km. The rail connections ( railway Zeitz - Camburg ) was set in 1998.
