Waldemar Steffen

Waldemar Steffen (* December 23, 1872, † unknown ) was a German athlete.

In 1898, he scored 1.84 meters in the high jump. This amount, however, was not recognized as a German record since probably had crossed only a string.

At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1900, he was with his personal best jump of 6.30 m eighth in the long jump. In the high jump, he shared with two other athletes who jumped over 1.70 m, the fourth place. In the triple jump, he did not make it into the top six in the state triple jump not in the top four.

Waldemar Steffen competed for the SC Germania Hamburg, one of the precursors of the clubs Hamburger SV.
