Waldemar Victorino

Waldemar Victorino Barreto ( May 22nd, 1952 in Montevideo, Uruguay ) is a former Uruguayan football player.

Association

Victorino, who played in the position of striker and distinguished himself particularly by his heading ability, his career began at the age of 17 years at Cerro in Montevideo. Later he played for both also located in the Uruguayan capital clubs Progreso and River Plate. In 1979 he joined Nacional Montevideo. In that year he was División with 19 goals scorer in the Primera. Victorino completed between June 9, 1976 and September 13, 1981 a total of 33 caps for the Uruguay national football team, and shot it 15 goals. He belonged to the successful Uruguayan team at Mundialito and advanced with his three tournament matches there also top scorer of the tournament.
