Waldzell

Forest cell is a municipality in Upper Austria in the district of Ried in the Innviertel with 2092 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Ried.

Geography

Forest cell is at 522 m altitude in Innviertel. The extension is from north to south 11.1 kilometers, from west to east 7.9 km. The total area is 40.2 km ². 48.8 % of the area is forested, 45.5 % of the area is used for agriculture.

History

Since the establishment of the Duchy of Bavaria Bavarian Forest cell was to 1779 and came to the Peace of Teschen with the Innviertel (then Innbaiern ) to Austria.
