The Waler is an Australian horse race. The name derives from its home territory of New South Wales.

History

The Waler developed originating from different races, especially whole blood, Arabs, the Cape horse from South Africa, Timor Pony and perhaps something Clydesdale or Percheron. Originally, he was regarded as a type of horse and not systematically cultivated.
