Wales National Velodrome

The Wales National Velodrome is a velodrome cycling center in Wales Newport. It is located in the Newport International Sports Village.

The Velodrome is home to one of the previous three internationally recognized cycling tracks in the UK, next to the Manchester Velodrome and London Olympic Velodrome in London. The track is 250 meters long and was made ​​of pine wood, designed by Ron Webb. It was opened in 2004 and since then used for national championships as well as for the training of the national track cycling 's elite. The stands can accommodate 500 spectators.

The Velodrome also has more multi-functional sports rooms, weight and fitness rooms. It is also the headquarters of the Welsh Cycling Union Welsh Cycling. It is operated by the Velodrome Newport City Council.
