Walhain ( Walloon Walin ) is a commune in the French-speaking Walloon Brabant and the geographical center of Belgium. It consists of the three districts Nil -Saint -Vincent -Saint- Martin, Tourinnes -Saint- Lambert and Walhain -Saint- Paul. Walhain borders the municipalities Chastre, Mont -Saint -Guibert, Chaumont - Gistoux, Incourt and Perwez in Walloon Brabant and at Gembloux in the province of Namur.

Geographical Location

In Walhain located in the valley of the river Nile near Nil -Saint -Vincent, the geographical center of Belgium (50 ° 38 ' 28 " N, 4 ° 40 ' 5" O50.6411111111114.6680555555556 ). The municipal council ( Conseil Communal ) has 17 members; out of it the Collège with the mayor and four aldermen ( Echevins ) is formed.
