Walid Raad
Walid Raad ( b. 1967 in Chbanieh, Lebanon ) is a Lebanese photographers.
Work
His work includes photography, video, text and performance, and is especially dedicated to the contemporary history of his homeland. Raad is a professor at the Cooper Union and lives in New York City.
Walid Raad is the Hasselblad Prize winner of 2011. Between 1989 and 2004 he devoted himself in his project " The Atlas Group " of the violent history of Lebanon.
Since October 2012 Raad is a founding member of the Academy of Arts of the World in Cologne.
