Not so fast, my boy ( original title: Walk Do not Run ) is an American comedy film directed by Charles Walters from 1966 with Cary Grant in his last screen role.

Action

The British businessman Sir William Rutland travels to Tokyo in 1964, where just held the Olympic Games and therefore all of the hotel rooms are already occupied. The British Embassy is unable to help him in search of a place to stay. There, however, he discovered a leaflet with a roommate is looking for an apartment. Rutland makes itself immediately on the way. The young tenant of the apartment, Christine Easton, has actually a woman as desired roommate and finds it offensive to live with a strange man who can be of Rutland but nevertheless persuaded to accept him.

Background

It is a remake of George Stevens ' successful film comedy The More the Merrier (The More the Merrier ) from the year 1943. During Stevens ' film against the backdrop of the housing shortage in Washington, DC Takes place in the early 1940s, my boy, it is so fast in Not the Summer Olympic Games of 1964, which provide the framework of action and once actually attended in Tokyo for a property emergency.
