Wallenius Lines

Wallenius Lines is a Swedish shipping company with headquarters in Stockholm, part of the soy group ( Rederi AB Soya ). The company is a pioneer of truck transport by sea and currently operates (as of January 2011), a fleet of 34 ships for the worldwide transport of cars and trucks, the ships managed are chartered and primarily include companies in which Wallenius holds shares.

Founded in 1934 by Olof Wallenius the shipping company. When he died in 1970, his stepson John Kleberg became president of the company. Since October 1, 2005 Lone Fønss Schrøder has held this position.

Among other things, the line bereedert Undine, with the part of a project of METHAPU consortium to study sustainable maritime operational experience in the use of methanol -powered solid oxide fuel cells to be collected.
