Walter Andreas Schwarz

Walter Andreas Schwarz ( born June 2, 1913 in Aschersleben, resin, † April 1, 1992 in Heidelberg ) was a German singer, writer, comedian, radio play author and speaker and translator for the BBC.

Life

After graduation in 1932 left black Aschersleben to study German literature and music in Vienna. Because of his Jewish ancestry, he was brought in 1938 with his entire family in a concentration camp in Lower Saxony.

In 1956 he took part with the self-penned title in the waiting room to a large fortune at the Euro Vision Song Contest and was (along with Freddy Quinn ), the first German representatives in this competition. The rankings were, apart from winning titles, not disclosed. Musically, this piece was his only major success.

After he had lived a long time in London, he died in 1992 in Heidelberg.

1995 saw a CD set to music poems and prose texts by Erich difficulty that Black had recorded together with Dieter Süverkrüp.
