Walter Beaupré Townley

Sir Walter Beaupre Townley KCMG (* January 8, 1863, † 1945) was a British diplomat.

Life

Walter Beaupre Townley married in 1896 Lady Susan Mary ( * 1868, † 1953). On April 27, 1896, he was appointed Counsellor in Constantinople Opel, on November 4, 1901 Secretary first class in Beijing.

He held office from 1906 to 1910 as British Ambassador in Buenos Aires, Argentina, then from 1911 to 1912 in Bucharest, Bulgaria, then from 1912 to 1916 in Tehran, after November 6, 1917 to 1919 in The Hague.
