Walter Bucher (cyclist)

Walter Bucher ( born June 8, 1926 in Zurich ) is a Swiss former racing cyclist.

1959 Walter Bucher finished second in the Championship of Zurich the amateurs. The following year he turned professional and focused on the track cycling. Five times - 1955, 1957, 1958, 1959 and 1960 - he was the Swiss champion stayer. In the UCI Track World Championships 1958 in Paris, he won the world championship title of the Pro - stayer after he took second place in 1956 and finished third in 1955 in Milan and 1957.
