Walter Bullock
Walter Bullock ( born May 6, 1907 in Shelburn, Sullivan County, Indiana, † July 13, 1953 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American composer, songwriter and screenwriter.
Life and work
Bullock studied at DePauw University ( BA) and joined ASCAP in 1936. He received a total of two Oscar nominations, the first in 1937 for the song When Did You Leave Heaven and the second in 1941 for the song Who Am I? . Bullock often wrote only individual tracks and songs for the soundtrack of the films. In addition, he worked from 1940 as a scriptwriter.
In 1950, he wrote the musical with Sylvia Regan Great to Be Alive! , Which was performed in the Winter Garden Theatre in New York.
He is the great- uncle of actor S. Scott Bullock.
