Walter D. Seed, Sr.

Walter Dudley Seed, Sr. ( born June 26, 1864 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, † December 3, 1959 ) was an American politician.

Walter seed came from a family that has produced many well-known personalities in the political and clerical area. These were located not only in the United States, but spread all over the world. So seed also had German ancestors.

Seed underwent a successful school career, which led him to the University of Alabama, where he was chairman of that literature clubs. He also contributed articles to the University magazine, The University Monthly, at. In 1883 he graduated with a bachelor's degree.

Despite his business interests, he was also politically ambitious. This was revealed in 1898, when he contributed a significant contribution to electoral defeat of the Populist Party. Two years earlier, he was appointed financial manager of Tuscaloosa County, a post he was to hold for four years. 1906 brought him his career in the status of the Finance Minister of the State of Alabama. Four years later, he was able to crown his career with the election of the vice-governor of the same state.

He was married to Ellen E. Foster since September 21, 1887.
