Walter Hallstein Prize

The Walter Hallstein Prize is awarded annually in November from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, Frankfurt am Main and the Dresdner Bank AG to a personality who has made outstanding contribution to the European integration. The award is endowed with 20,000 euros.

The award ceremony will take place in Frankfurt Romans, under the Walter - Hallstein symposium held. Upstream of the symposium is regularly a scientific colloquium is aligned content from Wilhelm Merton Centre for European Integration and International Economic Order, University of Frankfurt am Main. The Prize is named after Walter Hallstein, President of the first Commission of the EEC named.
