Walter Isaacson

Walter Isaacson ( born May 20, 1952 in New Orleans) is an American writer and biographer. He is president and CEO of the Aspen Institute. Isaacson was chairman and CEO of CNN and managing editor at the time. It was used in 2009 by President Obama as Chairman of the Broadcasting Board of Governors. From this office Isaacson resigned in January 2012, to devote himself to a new book project.

The written by Isaacson biography Steve Jobs was already before the appearance bestseller on Amazon. Isaacson for jobs in 2 years more than interviewed 40 times, most recently spoken before and after his resignation as CEO of Apple, and also with members of his family, friends, colleagues at Apple and business competitors. The publication date of the book had been brought forward from March 6, 2012 to 21 November 2011 and further to 24 October 2011.
