Walter Leinweber

Walter Leinweber ( born April 18, 1907 in Fussen, † March 1997) was a German professional ice hockey goaltender.

Career

Walter Leinweber took Germany participated in the 1932 Olympics in Lake Placid, where he won the bronze medal with his team. He came in the tournament in all six games for use - in his case, however, since the German team (now unthinkable! ) Had traveled with only one goalkeeper. At the World Championships 1930 he won the silver medal with his team. As the best European team Germany was also European champion. At the World Championships 1934 he won the bronze medal with the national team. As the best European team Germany was again European Champion.

At club level, the goalkeeper played for EV Füssen, with whom he won the 1949 German Championship.
