Walter March

Walter March ( born August 26, 1898 in Charlottenburg, † August 23, 1969 ) was a German architect, son of the architect Otto March and the younger brother of the architect Werner March.

March 1923 was involved in the construction of the model house Am Horn with Adolf Meyer.

Together with his brother Werner March 1927, he won the competition with their design for the German Sports Forum. The points adjacent to the longitudinal axis of the sports field and opposing buildings of the swimming pool and the gymnasium were planning elaborated by Walter March and the reception building ( Hall of Nations ) supervised planning.

1933, the brothers Werner and Walter March created the first draft of the Reich Sport Field, worth mentioning is the joint supervision of the Imperial box to 1934 and the subsequent overall management by Werner March with the participation by his brother Walter.

The draft of the nations Speisehaus ( Berlin House ) in the Olympic Village in Dallgow ( 1934-1936 ) was completed under the direction of his brother Werner in 1936. Another collaborative work of the brothers Werner and Walter March 1936 was the equestrian stadium in the Olympic Park.
