Walter P. Chrysler Museum

The Walter P. Chrysler Museum is located in Auburn Hills, MI, and was opened in its present form in 1999. It covers the history of the company of the automobile manufacturer Chrysler and brands Jeep, Dodge, AMC and Mopar supplier. In addition to the permanent exhibition there are also thematic exhibitions on mobility. The presentation does not take place according to the brands, but chronologically.

History

In 1996, the land was separated from the plant site and prepared for use as a museum. On 5 October 1999, designed by Giffels Associates building was opened. 2008, the operation and the collection in the nonprofit Walter P. Chrysler Museum Foundation were transferred. On 31 December 2012, the museum was closed due to financial problems.
