Walter Smith

Walter Smith OBE ( born February 24 1948 in Lanark, Scotland ) is a former Scottish footballer and current coach. During his active time he played at the position of the defender.

Youth

Walter Smith was born in Lanark in Scotland. He grew up in Carmyle, a small town east of Glasgow, on. In the 1960s he began playing football. His first club was the youth team of FC Ashfield.

Professional teams
