Walter Trout

Walter Cooper Trout ( born March 6, 1951 in Ocean City, New Jersey, USA ) is an American composer, guitarist and singer. His music represents a synthesis of blues and rock ( blues-rock ) dar.

Since 1968 Walter Trout played in various bands and musicians, such as from 1979 to 1980 at the legendary blues musician John Lee Hooker. From 1980 to 1984, Trout member of the band Canned Heat, before joining 1984-1989 John Mayall.

In 1989, the Trout Walter Trout band renamed itself in 1999 to Walter Trout and the Radicals. In 2008, the band consisted of the following musicians: Walter Trout (guitar, vocals), Sammy Avila (keyboards ), Michael Leasure (drums) and Rick Knapp ( bass). Rick Knapp replaced in the summer of 2005, the previous bassist James Trapp, who died on 24 August 2005 from the effects of heart disease at the age of 52 years. Andrew Elt, actually the tour manager of the band, is the fifth member of the band since the Relentless tour. In appearance he was occasionally be heard live as a backing singer for Walter Trout, it shall now also as a solo singer next to Walter Trout. Walter Trout goes with his band quite regularly on tour and will also play a 2013 European tour. Within the next fall tour he will give concerts in Switzerland, Germany, England, France, the Netherlands and Italy ( Steinegg Live). 2013 is also his tribute album " Luther 's Blues " was released - a tribute to Luther Allison.

Walter Trout is the opening act of his concerts before young, talented guitar players, such as Ian Parker, Steve Fister, Danny Bryant, Henrik Freischlader and Scott McKeon.
