Walter Volle

Walter Full ( born September 18, 1913 in Mannheim, † October 27, 2002 in Berlin) was rowers ( since 1933 at the Mannheimer rowing club Amicitia ) and coach, he won next five German championship titles at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin with Hans Maier, Ernst Gaber, Paul Söllner and helmsman Fritz Bauer gold in the coxed four. In the season 1936/37, he moved with his coach Fritz Mannheimer Gwinner to Berlin Rowing Club, with which he in Milan European Champion in aft 1938.

After completion of his own sporting career in 1958, he became head coach of the Berlin Rowing Club. The supervised by him athletes won next eleven German championships in various boat classes in 1962 at the first World Rowing Championships in Lucerne the world title in the four with coxswain, 1963 in Copenhagen in the same boat class the European Championship and the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, with the team: Peter Neusel, Bernhard Brit Ting, Joachim Werner, Egbert Hirschfelder and helmsman Jürgen Oelke, also in the four with coxswain the gold medal.

He is in the forest cemetery army road, field 6 -F -30, buried.
