Walthamstow Central station

Walthamstow Central is a railway station in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The transportation hub that also includes a London Underground station, located in the Travelcard Zone 3, on the Hoe Street. In 2011, 14.32 million passengers used the subway to the train station, added 2.543 million passengers by rail.

The aboveground station located on the suburban line of the railway company Abellio Greater Anglia between Liverpool Street station and Chingford. Walthamstow Central is the northern terminus of the Victoria line, this part is underground.

Was opened the station in 1870 by the Great Eastern Railway, then under the name Hoe Street. The opening of the first section of the Victoria Line towards Highbury & Islington took place on 1 September 1968. The bus station, which is located opposite the main entrance, has undergone extensive renovation in 2004.
