Waltraud Pöhlitz
Waltraud merchant, married Pöhlitz ( born March 10, 1942 in Brockau ), is a German track and field athlete and Olympian, who in the 1960s - was successful in the 800 -meter run - starting for the GDR. Her biggest success is the silver medal at the European Championships 1962 ( 2:05,0 minutes).
At the European Championships in 1966 it ranked eight ( 2:12,1 min). She started at the Olympic Games in 1964, where she was eliminated in the flow.
1962, 1963, 1964 and 1966, she was the GDR champion in the 800 -meter run, 1967, they GDR champion in 1500 -meter run ( from 1966 under the name Waltraud Pöhlitz ).
Waltraud merchant belonged to the SC Chemie Halle. In her competition time she was 52 kg hard at a size of 1.61 m.
