Wambrechies
Wambrechies is a commune in the French department Nord, in the Nord -Pas -de- Calais with 9705 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). The town lies north of metropolitan compression space to the city of Lille and is also part of the arrondissement of Lille. By Wambrechies the Deûle River flows.

Etymology and history
The place name Wambrechies probably derives from a Germanic name Wambreck hallway, where it is to be a reference to the Barrens syllable - breck. The first written mention of Wambrechies found, signed by the Bishop of Tournai in a document from the year 1110 on the supply of altar income from Wambrechies to the pin section of Saint- Pierre in Lille.
