Wanda Krahelska-Filipowicz

Wanda Krahelska - Filipowicz, pseudonym Alina (* 1886, † 1968) was a Polish socialist and a PPS activist and co-founder of Żegota.

In 1906 she was involved in the assassination of the PPS - fighting organization on the Russian governor Giorgij Skalon and then had to flee to Galicia. From 1935 to 1939 she was editor of the magazine Arkady. In 1942, she was with Zofia Kossak - Szczucka co-founder of Żegota, an organization that rescued 75,000 Jews. She founded in 1946 the journal project and managed it until 1956.
