Wang Anshun

Wang Anshun (Chinese王安顺, Pinyin Wáng Anshun; * December 1957 in Huixian ) is a local politician and functionary of the Communist Party in the People's Republic of China. Since 25 July, he is the deputy mayor of Beijing and exercise at the same time as acting the official duties of the mayor of the city.

Life

Wang Anshun graduated from Nankai University in Tianjin, achieving a master's degree in economics. In March 1984 he joined the Communist Party. Professionally, he went to the oil industry and was in a position of responsibility working for exploration in the northeastern province of Jilin. From July 1999 to September 2001 he was involved in the Party Committee of Gansu Province with questions of internal organization. In September 2001 he was deputy party chief in Shanghai, in March 2007, he moved in the same capacity to Beijing. In addition, Wang Anshun was head of the Political Consultative Conference of the Chinese people.

As a result of deficiencies in disaster management in heavy rain storms, during which several dozen people died, became Beijing's municipal government in the criticism. Then Mayor Guo Jinlong and his deputy, Ji Lin resigned. On July 25, 2012 Wang Anshun was appointed as the new Deputy Mayor and provisionally transferred him to carry out the official duties of the mayor.
