Wang Chan District

Amphoe Wang Chan ( Thai: อำเภอ วัง จันทร์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northern part of the province of Rayong. The Rayong province is located in the eastern region of central Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Khao Chamao the, Klaeng, Mueang Rayong, Ban Khai and Amphoe Pluak Daeng Rayong Province, Amphoe Nong Yai and Bo Thong and Chonburi province.

History

The county Wang Chan was born on November 6, 1977 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the two Tambon Chum Saeng Chan and Wang were separated from Amphoe Klaeng. On July 19, 1991, he got the full Amphoe status.

Management

The circle is divided into four subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 30 villages ( Muban ).

Chumsaeng ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ชุมแสง ) has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon) and covers parts of tambon Chumsaeng and Phlong Ta Iam.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" ( TAO - administrative units ).
