Wang Chen (badminton)

Wang Chen (Chinese王晨, born June 21, 1976 in Shanghai ) is a badminton player from Hong Kong, which was originally launched for China.

She began her career in China. For China, she won the 1994 World Youth Championship and 1996 and 1997, the Thailand Open. With the beginning of the new millennium, she moved to Hong Kong. Wang took part in the 2004 Olympics in badminton. In the women's singles she defeated Lorena Blanco from Peru and Yao Jie of the Netherlands in the first two rounds. In the quarterfinals, losing to Wang Zhang Ning from the People's Republic of China 9:11, 11:6, 11:7. In 2005 she was Asian champion in women's singles and won the Indonesia Open. The win at the Indonesia Open, she repeated a year later. In the Badminton World Cup 2007 they reached the final, but it lost to Zhu Lin of China in straight sets.
