Wang Sai Phun District

Amphoe Wang Sai Phun ( in Thai: อำเภอ วังทรายพูน ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the northeastern province of Phichit. The Phichit Province is located in the southern part of Northern Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise): Amphoe the Taphan Hin, Mueang Phichit Province Phichit and Sak Lek, and Noen Maprang the province of Phitsanulok.

History

Wang Sai Phun was on 1 August 1975 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the three Tambon Wang Sai Phun, Nong Pla Lai Nong Phra and Mueang Phichit were cleaved. On July 13, 1981 Wang Sai Phun received the full Amphoe status. On 23 September 1993, the Tambon Nong Plong was also incorporated from Mueang Phichit.

Management

The circle is divided into four subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 57 villages ( Muban ).

Wang Sai Phun ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล วังทรายพูน ) has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon) and covers parts of tambon Wang Sai Phun and Nong Phra.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
